Darin grew up in South Florida and attended Santaluces High School where he was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 5th round of the 2003 MLB draft.
He spent 19 years in professional baseball at the highest levels in the United States and Internationally.
After 10 years in the minor leagues, he made his MLB debut with the Detroit Tigers in 2012.
